ABOUT
I’m Kayla Hanna from Belfast, Northern Ireland currently based in Surrey UK. I’ve been drumming for 15+ years. Achieved: RSL Level 3 Certificate in Popular Music Performance Grade 8 – Drums, Level 3 Music Diploma, and I graduated with a BA Hons 1st class honors from ACM (Academy of Contemporary Music) in 2020.

I’ve played the drums in a variety of bands over the years including “The Peculiar”, “Beetroot”, “Sugar Darling” and “Oz & The Kryds".

I’m a co-founder of KooJoo an experimental Roots-Blues band consisting of myself and John Mullaly; that make music from homemade instruments influenced by the likes of Muddy Waters, Robert Johnson, Bear McCreary and Spiritualist music. The music is composed by me and John Mullaly.
I’m a singer-songwriter, who’s been writing songs for 5+ years. I have a vast amount of songs released as demos via YouTube. My debut EP “The Average In-Between” was released across all platforms on 24/07/2020. The 4 track EP consists of a mixture of Pop-Punk, Blues, Indie and singer-songwriter influences.
